  • 시로우 마사무네의 코믹스를 원작으로 했다지만 오시이 마모루의 애니메이션에서 훨씬 영향을 많이 받은 듯하다. 처음 메이저가 빌딩에서 광학 미체를 입고 낙하하는 장면이 나올 때는 탄성을 질렀지만 두 번째 나올 땐 식상했다. 사실 기본적인 설정과 캐릭터 디자인이 아니었더라면 굳이 <공각기동대>라는 이름을 붙이지 않았어도 될 만한 수준이다.
